Is the Recession Really Over?

An article published in the September 15, 2009 issue of The New York Times, quotes Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke as stating that it is “very likely” that the recession is over. But before you breathe a sigh of relief note that financial experts, Bernanke among them, caution that unemployment rates may not recover from several months to 1 or 2 years from now.

In the meantime, people who lost their jobs are going back to school to earn higher degrees. Indeed, in the time it takes for unemployment rates stabilize students currently enrolled in the MSGL program will earn a Master’s degree and be prepared to take positions in the new global economy.
