Cohort 51 First Week

The MS in Global Leadership welcomed its newest cohort of students into the program last week as they spent 6 days on campus discussing business leadership in the global environment. Cohort 51 has an incredible amount of diversity, which will make for a richer experience for all.
Of the 23 students in the group, several have spent a significant amount of time overseas. Three students were born outside of the US – and two of those spent much of their childhood in their native countries before living in the US. Countries represented include Iraq, Uganda, and Nigeria.
Students enjoyed a week of courses in business ethics, leadership, global society, and international business. As they part ways after this initial week of study, MSGL students will continue the program’s unique mix of online and in-class learning.
On Thursday evening, students were welcomed with a reception where Dean Dave Pyke addressed the group and gave an official welcome to the University of San Diego. Several alumni, faculty, and friends of the program attended as well.
Keep an eye on the MSGL student blog for upcoming perspectives from individual students and more.
